What’s on Tap & On Menu at the Pub
Fall is a time to celebrate the the cool & colorful autumn weather in Fernie along with the Pub’s annual BC Craft Beer & Burger Month which runs from October 1-31. During this month, we celebrate two things we are passionate about here in the Pub ….. delicious hamburgers and BC craft beers! We are featuring our own specialty craft burgers paired with BC craft beers. You can choose from 1 of 6 specialty burgers: More Cowbell Double Smashburger, Braised Birria Brisket Burger, Crispy Chicken Caesar Burger, Grilled Mesquite Chicken Burger, Grilled Lime & Garlic Halibut Burger, and the Portobello Mushroom Head Burger all paired with a refreshing BC Craft Brew from some of our favourite brewers. For this On Tap & On Menu post, we thought we would highlight one of the featured new burgers, The Braised Birria Brisket Burger, along with a new favourite, the Brave Liver Scotch Ale from Mt Begbie Brewing, which are both featured on this year’s BC Craft Beer & Burger Menu:
Featured Burger: Braised Birria Brisket Burger
This new addition for October features features braised beef brisket with house-made coleslaw, and served with a spicy South American birria dipping sauce.
Featured Beer: Mount Begbie Brave Liver Scotch Ale
Our suggested beer pairing to go with this tasty burger is Mount Begbie Brave Liver Scotch Ale. It’s a “wee heavy” smooth and full-bodied scotch ale made using caramel malt and aged on scotch-soaked rounds for maximum flavour. This beer is a great compliment to the beef brisket & spicey nature of the birria sauce. Make sure to try out this pairing during the Pub’s BC Craft Beer & Burger month!
