On Tap & on Menu is our seasonal update on two things we love here at the Park Place Lodge: refreshing new beers and tasty menu items!
What’s on Tap at the Pub
With Fernie’s winter season in full swing, the month of January is the month popular with outdoor adventurers who participate in the Elk Valley Streak as well as those who are taking an alcohol break for Dryuary. With this in mind, we thought we’d feature two great non-alcoholic beers produced by our friends at Fernie Brewing Co. Launched in the spring of 2023, LOGO Beer lets you still enjoy the great taste of craft beer with the benefits of Low Alcohol (0.5%) content. Both the flavoursome, hop-forward Hazy IPA and the light, clean Pilsner, while not on tap, are featured in cans on our Pub drink menu. These non-alcoholic beers are a refreshing go-to for the adventure lifestyle enthusiast!
Hint: If you really enjoy these beers and want to take some home with you afterwards, stop by our Spirits Cold Beer & Wine Shop here in the hotel and grab a six pack.
What’s on Menu at the Pub
With it being so popular during our BC Craft Beer & Burger month, we decided to permanently add the Miso Fish Burger to our menu. Featuring a Pan-fried cod loin in a miso marinade with pickled cucumbers & oriental cabbage salad, the Miso Fish Burger is now one of eight tasty burgers highlighted on our Pub Winter Menu.
The LOGO Pilsner which is clean & refreshing, with a slight malt flavour, pairs well with this burger, serving as the perfect compliment to the umami of the miso marinade. Also, if you are looking for a more traditional beer, the Project 9 Pilsner will work really well as a pairing too!
